Man, you got to feel for Jeremy Lin.
The dude has been pining for a starting role since Linsanity died down. He finally gets it with the Brooklyn Nets, starts off the season with his best play in years and then gets injured–not once, but twice.
We’re still not even half way through the season and he’s already missed five weeks after his first hamstring injury and another three games since his second hamstring injury.
“It’s been difficult. The night I got hurt, I didn’t feel like talking or was just not in a place where I had anything to say to anybody, Lin told the New York Post. “That night, I was pretty upset,’’ Lin said. “I think the whole process has been not what I anticipated in terms of you get this opportunity to be on this team.”
There is no timetable for Lin’s return.
“It’s still early. I think the majority of what I’ve been doing is trying to get it to calm down and then in the last few days [I’ve] been able to ramp things up a little bit, Lin is quoted as saying in Newsday . “So it does feel like kind of ‘Groundhog Day,’ this thing all over again or the rehab days all over again.”
The point guard will resume traveling with the team next week, which seems to indicate he’ll be out at least two weeks.

RE: Jeremy Lin fights despair after second injury:(( That is soo sad. I’m a fan of the NETS for almost 10 years and 2017 started so bad….
