The home page editor of the Washington Post is under attack after a conservative publication called her out as the person caught on video taking pictures of notes left by Secretary of State nominee Rex Tillerson at his confirmation hearing.
The headline in the Conservative Tree House read: Washington Post’s Doris N. Truong? Caught on Video Taking Pictures of Rex Tillerson Notes…
The only problem is the person in the video isn’t Doris Truong, who served as president of the Asian American Journalists Association from 2011 – 2012.
Truong told AsAmNews that not only was she misidentified, but no one from the Conservative Tree House even tried to contact her.
??? ALERT
Why is she secretly snapping photos of Rex Tillerson’s notes?
Who in the heck is she? VERY SUSPICIOUS #AmericaFirst#MAGA pic.twitter.com/F40aUjZzH9

The story in the Tree House left open the possibility the person in the video might be Lisa Song of Climate News. Song on Twitter has denied it was her and says she was in Boston at the time of the hearing.
Truong declined to answer any further questions from AsAmNews until she had a chance to talk with her editors.
Truong did say she does not know who the person is in the video.
The person seen in the video may or may not be a journalist.
The apparent mistake by the Tree House has left Truong open to public ridicule. One person called her an “MSM” or mainstream media”pig.” El Torito called her an “undocumented urinalist” while Deplorable_Vespucciland wrote “Fake News journ0list caught cheating. Best election ever !”
Of course it was Donald Trump who carried on for years about the birthers conspiracy theory that President Obama is not an American citizen and that his birth certificate is fake. It’s also been Trump who’s used the term fake news to wag a finger at CNN and other respected media outlets.
AsAmNews has contacted the Conservative Tree House for comment and will include their comments if we hear back.
