A middle school teach in Dallas has been arrested on charges of having sexual relations with a 14-year-old student, reports the Dallas Morning News.
Authorities say Sandy Doan, 27, paid the boy $28,000 to keep quiet about their sexual fling, but the boy’s mother found out about it and approached police.
The mother told authorities her son was using the money for illegal purposes and provided screen shots of sexually explicit messages supposedly between the two.
Doan worked as a coach for the cross-country and soccer teams.
Court records indicate police believe Doan had sexual encounters with the boy on at least three occasions, including once at the park.
‘She did very bad. She did bad,” the mother said, “and I’m not condoning what he did because I know he was wrong at what he also did because blackmailing is not acceptable.”
