A two-year-old girl shot in the head earlier this week in St. Paul, Minnesota remains in critical condition today, reports Voice of Alexandria .
She has been identified as Chastity Yulia Vang. Her father Shawn Vang, 23, and Lee Lor, 27, were also shot with less serious wounds.
KARE11 reports that a suspect has yet to be arrested.
Authorities believe there may be a connection between one of the victims and the suspect, but no further information has been released.
“It’s insidious, it rips at the fabric that holds St. Paul together, and it doesn’t just affect the people who are struck,” said police spokesman Steve Linders. “A bullet goes through the air and hits a person, and a family’s life is devastated, children no longer feel safe in their neighborhoods, entire parts of town feel fear. And our officers are put in incredible danger when they respond to these types of calls.”
$5,000 has been raised for Chastity’s medical care through a Go Fund Me page.
