It’s a girl!
Mindy Kaling, famed writer and actress, has good news for her fans! In mid-July she publicly announced her pregnancy, but has remained quiet about the specifics.
In an interview with US Weekly, Kaling’s co-actors from the Mindy Project insinuated the gender of her child.
Beth Grant, aka Beverly, expressed her excitement and stated that she was “just thrilled out of [her] mind.”
Furthermore, Ed Weeks (Jeremy), gave fans some specifics when he told US Weekly, that “the show started as a tribute to her [Mindy’s] mother… and it ends with her having a daughter of her own”.
Once the news was leaked, Kaling’s fans went crazy on social media and showered her with love and joy!

The Mindy Project star has an avid following of millennial women that respect her not only as an actor, but also as a bad ass Asian women! She has inspired countless women to forge their own path, and to not let factors such as race and gender hinder them from following your passions.
Grant furthers that Kaling will be the perfect mentor for her daughter because “she is really good about giving young women opportunities and mentoring young women, so [she] thinks it’s a natural thing for her to be a mom”.
Although the actress has yet to comment on the sex of her child, we can expect, based off of the remarks by her colleagues, a baby girl.
Kaling has kept us in the dark about who the father is, but we can hope to find that out some time soon.
