A grieving son, a wife without her husband-that’s the aftermath of the senseless murder of Ruxin Wang in Nashville.
Three weeks after the death of the 74-year old man who had just moved from Beijing to be with his son, police do not have suspects in the case.
The man’s son released footage of his father taken from a security camera in his home right before his father’s death.
In the footage, you can hear the gunshots that killed Yun Wang’s father.
“He thinks everybody’s a good person,” Wang said about his dad to WSMV . “He didn’t have suspicion towards people.”
The footage shows his dad Ruxin taking care of his wife who was hobbled after twisting her ankle.
“They support each other,” Yun Wang said. “That’s just their relationship, and that’s how we see them as loving parents.”
Ruxin is seen going outside the house to get the trash. Suddenly three gunshots are heard. Neighbors saw eight men in black khakis running away.
“My mom, she was just scrambling and trying to find help,” Yun Wang said. “She was so desperate in that moment. My heart is so broken. I couldn’t imagine how much pain and suffering she’s going through in that moment. It’s heart wrenching.”
Police say they are actively pursuing leads in the case.
Wang’s thoughts remain on his parents.
“Seeing him suffer, her suffer through loss of her partner for so many years, it’s so painful,” he said to WKRN. “Nobody should ever experience this. There is a million ways people can pass away. This is not the way.”
