A radio sports talk host is out of a job this morning after making a crude comment about Olympic gold medalist Chloe Kim.
The Athletic reported that Connor was let go by KNBR in San Francisco where he hosted the early morning Shower Hour.
Connor, who called the 17-year old snowboarder “a hot piece of ass,” actually did not make his comments on KNBR.
He made them on a new Barstool sports show on Sirius XM, Dialed in with Dallas Braden, which Connor co-hosts.
According to USA Today, Sirius XM has not commented on the controversy and Connor remains on the program.
Known to some of his fans as Pcon, Connor at first was unapologetic. He went after Deadspin which first reported the incident. “Deadspin still exists?” Connor remarked on Twitter.

13 hours later, he was backtracking, issuing a statement, again on twitter, apologizing for his indiscretion.
Yesterday in a weird attempt to make people laugh I failed. My comments about @chloekimsnow were more than inappropriate they were lame & gross. Im truly sorry Chloe. You’ve repped our country so brilliantly. I apologize to my colleagues & the listeners for being a total idiot.

The radio host made his comments about Kim as he discussed the Olympian with Braden, a former Oakland Athletic, and comedian Brody Stevens.
Connor commented that he couldn’t wait until Kim turned 18 on April 23.
“She’s fine as hell,” said Connor. “If she was 18, you wouldn’t be ashamed to say that she’s a little hot piece of ass. And she is. She is adorable. I’m a huge Chloe Kim fan.”
KNBR which is owned by Cumulus Media issued the following statement to the Athletic.
“KNBR, nor Cumulus Media condone the comments made by Patrick Connor on his SiriusXM program.”
Connor did not appear on KNBR Monday morning. By the afternoon, he had been fired.
This is the same Patrick Connor who back in 2012, during the height of Korean star Psy’s popularity, condemned the K-pop sensation for rapping anti-American lyrics back in 2004. Connor was fine with his opinions until he went into an inexplainable rift about the primitive nature of chopsticks.

RE: Radio host in trouble over comment on Chloe Kim: What cave do these kind of men dwell in day in and day out? Totally disgusting and barbaric! And Chopsticks primitive? V.S. the stabbing nature of forks?
RE: Radio host fired over comment about Chloe Kim, but remains on XM Radio: Why is this guy fired but the guy who makes the stereotype accent still around?
