A 45-year-old married man is suspected of having a secret relationship with a 16 year old.
Both Kevin Esterly and Amy Yu, a student at Lehigh Valley Academy Charter School near Allentown, PA, have been missing since Esterly picked her up from school Monday, according to the Morning Call.
Court records indicate police believed the two had a secret relationship and that Esterly signed Yu out of school 10 times over a period between November and February.
The two were reported missing after Yu’s mother went to school to pick her daughter up and was told Esterly had already signed her out.
It is not know if Esterly was authorized to pick up Yu as people can only sign a child out if they are listed as an emergency contact.
Allentown police listed both as possibly endangered, a designation used when there are indications of serious trouble.
