Maia and Alex Shibutani, still on a high from the post-Olympic glow of two bronze medals, are one of seven finalists for the Sullivan Award.
The award goes each year to the amateur athlete who best exemplifies qualities of leadership, character and sportsmanship. They are known as the Oscars of sports awards, according to the Sullivan website.
The ice dancing pair advanced from the semi-finals from a group of 28 nominees.
