Model Kim Kilgroe has won the triathlon in the Philippine National Games, reports ESPN.
She finished in 1:09:56 to walk away with the gold medal.
“It was fun. It was a very good course. It gave me a good training before the Asian Games, the Subic Southeast Asian Championship and ITU races in China and Japan. It was a good race and everybody pushed themselves to the limit,” she said to ESPN.
The Filipino American is a member of the Philippine National Team.
According to ABS CBN, she is also a model.
“I hope to continue reaching more people with the message that it is never too late to pursue a new challenge, to acquire difficult skills (like swimming), and to encourage more youth to participate as well,” Kilgroe said in an interview with Medium in 2016. “I’ve always been an advocate for healthy and active living — as a lifestyle, not a trend 🙂 and the idea that whatever it is, even beyond sports- that everyone has value to bring to the world and can live unlimited — beyond what they may have initially believed possible.”
