Variety is reporting that talks have begun with Warner Bros to produce a remake of Bruce Lee’s Enter the Dragon.
Director David Leigh of Deadpool 2 is reportedly behind the effort, but so far reaction from the Asian American community has been less than enthusiastic.
Actor Daniel Wu who stars in AMC’s Badlands was blunt saying on Twitter “That’s one movie that should not be touched because it wasn’t about story, it was about Bruce Lee’s incredible charisma which cannot be replicated.”

Daniel Dae Kim echoed that sentiment. He responded to Wu’s tweet by simply stating on Facebook, “Totally agree.”
Lee died right after the movie made its premiere in Hong Kong in 1973 on a budget of just $850,000. It grossed $90 million worldwide and made Lee a bonafide superstar in his death.
Enter the Dragon is in the National Film Registry for preservation and spawned a series of martial arts films.
What do you think, should they remake this movie and who should star in it?
