CBS takes on a Pakistani American Family Comedy

CBS has bought the rights to the Pakistani American family comedy Amerikhans, reports Deadline.

Written by Farhan Arshad, Amerikhans is centered on a young Pakistani American man who must reconcile with his estranged family when he and his girlfriend take in his cousins and grandfather, turning their lives upside down. Arshad, who is of Pakistani descent, will also executive produce the show.

Before joining CBS’ Man With A Plan as an executive story editor, Arshad wrote for Dr. Ken and created and starred in the comedy series Brownies.
