Steven Yeun Discusses New Role in Burning

Steven Yeun joined in on this week’s New Hollywood Podcast to discuss his recent role in the film Burning, Deadline reports.

Burning, featuring Yeun in his first Korean-speaking role, is based on Haruki Murakami’s short story and is South Korea’s submission to the 91st Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.

Some may know Yeun from his notable role on The Walking Dead as Glenn Rhee. Since his character’s death on the long-running television series, he has also starred in the environmental drama Okja and Boots Riley’s Sorry to Bother You.

In the podcast, Yeun discusses his different experiences as a Korean American actor in South Korea and as a Korean American actor in the United States, as well as an interesting memory of meeting a The Walking Dead fan.
