Nathan Ramos is one creative dude. The award-winning writer, actor and musician has released a new song-Gay Asian Cowboy. Those are three words you don’t normally see together.
As Ramos puts it, “I really wanted to create something that would subvert something I love, but is a traditionally very straight White male space – country music.”
Ramos has a wide ranging resume and appears poised to break out into wider acclaim. He’s been a writer/songwriter/creative producer for Disney’s Club Mickey Mouse and currently works with Disney Southeast Asia as an Executive Producer. His song When December Comes opened ABC Christmas Day Parade and was chosen as Seventeen Magazine’s Top 17 Holiday Songs of 2017.
His play As We Babble On debuted last year at East West Players in Los Angeles to critical acclaim.
Los Angeles deejay Mimi Chen talked to Ramos about his career and aspirations for AsAmNews.
