As Valentine’s Day approaches, one Asian mother at Towson University in Maryland is attempting to help her son find a date.
The Baltimore Sun reports that a woman in her 50s approached students in campus buildings last week. The woman showed students a picture of her son and asked if they would date him.
Police issued an “incident advisory” after receiving several complaints from students the woman had spoken to. The police have warned students to be on the lookout for the mom, who is wearing glasses and a multi-colored scarf. They have asked anyone with more information to contact the University Police Department.
Some students are more amused by the incident than they are concerned about the mother’s behavior.
The University says the woman is not being sought for a criminal investigation. They simply want her to stop propositioning students on behalf of her son.

RE: Asian Mom on Towson University Campus Trying to Help Son Find a Date:So Chinese! Hilarious! That’s what they do in China at the parks… standing, sitting with pics of their kids needing a spouse! It’s a huge endeavor. The park is crowded on Sundays with parents and even the single persons themselves looking for a mate. Wow. Her son must be so embarrassed! But it’s for love!! or maybe it’s for a grandson to carry on the genes, and a daughter-in-law who will be able to take care of her in her old age!!!
