The trailer for Mindy Kaling’s latest project, Late Night, has officially been released, Deadline reports.
The film stars Kaling as the first female writer for a talk show host, played by Emma Thompson, whose show is in talks of cancellation. Kaling also wrote and produced the film.
Late Night has received much praise from critics after premiering at the Sundance Film Festival, Screenrant reports.
Amazon Studios eventually won a bidding war over the film’s U.S distribution rights, with a final bid of $13 million. This bid beats Amazon Studio’s previous bid of $12 million for The Big Sick.
Nisha Ganatra, known for her work on shows such as Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Dear White People, directed the film.
Late Nights will be available in theaters June 7 and the trailer can be viewed below.
