Hip hop and R&B artist Jay Park and iconic jazz band Hiroshima will perform on May 18 in Los Angeles as part of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Center.
The Center is a migratory museum that showcases Asian Pacific American history, art and culture. The hope is to generate support for the first permanent Asian Pacific American Gallery within the Smithsonian.
Other celebrities expected to attend The Party are Harry Shum Jr. who will host a VIP reception; Vivek Ranadive, th
e founder of TIBCO and owner of the Sacramento Kings; and the Helen An family, the chef known as the mother of fusion cuisine.
As part of this celebration, The Party will mark the launch of the Smithsonian Asian Pacific American Keystone Initiative, a fund raising drive for the first permanent Asian Pacific American Gallery within the Smithsonian.
