A new single camera comedy from Kal Penn has been ordered by NBC, reports Entertainment Weekly.
Penn plays Garrett Modi, a disgraced New York City Councilperson whose been chased out of office after a public intoxication incident caught on tape.
Despite being on a downward spiral, Modi is the last hope for a group of immigrants who come to him for help to gain citizenship.
The show is titled Sunnyside.
