The Today Show marked its 25th anniversary at Studio 1A with a highlight reel sans two main anchors-Matt Lauer and Ann Curry, reported USA Today.
Curry’s forced departure from the program caused a backlash from her fans-with many blaming her co-host for pushing her out.
This is curious since Lauer anchored the program for 20 years from 1997 until 2017. Curry’s served on the program as host for just one year.
NBC fired Lauer in 2017 after accusations of sexual misconduct.
