“The plane, the plane.”
That’s the memorable line from the classic television show, Fantasy Island. In the movie version set to be released in February, passengers will regret ever getting off that plane.
Maggie Q (Designated Survivor) and Jimmy O Yang (Crazy Rich Asians) join Michael Pena (Ant Man and the Wasp), Lucy Hale (Pretty Little Liars), Austin Stowell (12 Strong), Portia Doubleday (Mr Robot), Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars) and Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) in a major plot twist. Instead of the cute Friday night program that originally aired on ABC from 1977 to 1984, the movie version will be a horror film.
According to Jaynestars.com, Q comes on board the island with the fantasy of having a happy family. Instead she gets entangled in a terrorist incident.
Comicbook.com reports Yang will come to the island with his adoptive brother with the wish of having it all. Yang plays Brax, who looks up to his cool brother who still living life in his 20’s even though he’s closer to 40. Brax quickly learns that when you have it all, someone else will want to take that from you, The Hollywood Reporter revealed.
If the buzz around the trailer is any indication, there’s a lot of excitement around this movie. In just three weeks, the movie’s trailer has attracted more than six million views on You Tube.
