You may have noticed some of the hysteria gripping the nation and the world around the coronavirus. AsAmNews has highlighted some the racism that has surfaced due to the virus. A journalist lost his job after he tweeted a photo of him with his Asian barber and the caption “hopefully all I got today was a haircut” along with the hashtag #CoronaVirus.
XM Radio host Jeff Lewis refused to take calls from Asian listeners and talked openly about staying away from his Asian co-workers and a UC Berkeley researcher called xenophobia a common reaction to the virus.
