A man’s last hope to survive COVID-19 came to a tragic end when he died Friday while waiting for a plasma donor, reports KABC.
Ted Le spent four weeks on a ventilator at Pomona Valley Hospital in Southern California before his death. He last talked to his wife, Chloe Nguyen, earlier Friday through a glass window.
“I don’t want to let him go yet,” said Nguyen prior to her husband’s death who said a plasma donor was her husband’s last hope.
Doctors told her they needed a plasma donor who had recovered from COVID-19.
She still hopes her plea for a donor may help someone else.
“If they cannot help my husband then at least they can help all the people, all the patients in the same situation as my husband.”
The couple has been married five years and have a two-year-son who understands daddy has been gone.
Nguyen has also tested positive for COVID-19, but has no symptoms.
