A 73-year-old woman escaped serious injury in New York after police say a pot smoking man pushed the woman onto the tracks Monday, reports the Daily News.
Authorities told Fox5 an 82-year-old Asian man and his 30-year-old grandson got into a dispute with the suspect after the grandson told him smoking was not allowed on the platform.
Suddenly the man pushed the woman, but the train operator saw her and stopped the train well short of her.
All three victims were taken to the hospital, but none of the injuries are believed to be serious.
It is unclear how the grandfather and grandson are related to the woman. Both the men appeared bloodied in photos taken by the Daily News.
Just 9 days earlier, authorities released surveillance video of a suspect shoving a 30-year-old man onto the tracks also in a subway station in New York. That incident happened in September. The victim suffered just minor injuries in that case.
