A senior policy adviser in the Biden-Harris campaign has been selected to join the staff of future first lady Jill Biden.
Indian American Mala Adiga will serve as the first lady’s senior policy director in the new administration.
She has a history with the Biden family. She previously worked as Director for Higher Education and Military Families at the Biden Foundation.
She also worked during the Obama-Biden administration in numerous capacities- Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Academic Programs at the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, in the Secretary of State’s Office of Global Women’s Issues as Chief of Staff and Senior Advisor to the Ambassador-at-Large, and as Director for Human Rights on the National Security Staff.
Mala also worked on the Obama-Biden campaign in 2008.
