A retired Oakland, CA police officer revealed to ABC7 News Friday he is being questioned by the FBI after attending last week’s Capitol rally.
Jurell Snyder says he didn’t enter the Capitol building and does not condone the action of those who did, resulting in the deaths of five people including a police officer.
However, in an interview with CBS5. Snyder said those who stormed the Capitol will take the criminal charge of trespassing if the Democrats who stole the election will take the charge of “treason.”
Snyder insists he will never accept the result of the presidential election, continuing to insist the Democrats stole the election without offering any evidence.
Oaklandside reports Snyder has posted many comments that espouse Trump conspiracy theories and boogaloo ideology. Oaklandside says several of those comments were liked by current and former members of the Oakland Police Department.
The Department issued a statement condemning Snyder’s comments, CBS5 reported.
“We want to assure our community that those statements offend the morals and ethics of the women and men of our Department,” the Oakland Police Department said in a statement.
While ABC7 interviewed Snyder, reporter Dan Noyes noted a conspicuous sticky note behind Snyder.
“What’s it say?” Noyes asked.
“WWG1WGA.” he replied.
Noyes says that’s the Qannon rallying cry, “Where we go one, we go all.” He says it’s a conspiracy theory that America is run by pedophiles and that President Trump is the only person who can stop them.
Snyder also explained memes he’s posted about Boogaloo.
“Boogaloo is like you’re a veteran. You’re not in the military anymore, and China and Russia invades us. Now, that’s the Boogaloo. We’re all putting our Hawaiian shirts on and we’re going to try and, you know, team up with whatever it be, regular military or police officers and defend our homeland.”
Snyder served in the Oakland Police Department from 2007- 2013 and currently resides in Sacramento, where according to his LinkedIn profile, he runs a company known as Crime Analytica.
