Perry Yung of HBOmax’s Warrior zoom chats with AsAmNews readers

By Shirley Ng, AsAmNews Staff Writer

AsAmNews hosted a Zoom Fan Chat on Saturday night with actor, Perry Yung. He plays “Father Jun” in the tv drama based on Bruce Lee’s writings, Warrior, now on HBOmax.

Fans had an opportunity to ask him questions directly which made this event so much more personable. Fans were having a great time and Yung agree to go over the original scheduled hour.

Perry spoke about his role, the representation as a father, male leads, solidarity in the current times, Chinese American history and why Warrior set in the 1800s is so relevant today in a climate of anti-Asian hate.

Warrior fans participated in a Zoom fan chat with actor Perry Yung. Approximately 50 fans joined in.

The zoom was moderated by staff writer, Shirley L. Ng.
