Andrew Yang was discharged from the hospital after treatment for a kidney stone on Friday, CNN reports. He extended his gratitude to the hospital staff at Mt. Sinai West as well as his wife, Evelyn Yang, for staying by his side during the entire process.

Yang’s hospitalization was announced by his New York City mayoral campaign manager Cris Coffey, who revealed that Yang experienced abdominal pain and canceled campaign events for the day.

This is not the first time Yang has canceled campaign events for medical reasons. In February, he announced that he had tested positive for COVID-19 and called off in-person events, instead campaigning virtually.

Soon after his initial hospitalization for his kidney stone, however, Yang was treated and discharged. He spent Friday resting at home.
