A man who New York police said told an undercover officer he “had nothing to lose” has been arrested and charged after allegedly threatening that officer.
The New York Post reports Ricardo Hernandez, 32, faces hate crime charges of harassment against an undercover Asian American police officer.
“I will f–k you up!” Hernandez is accused of saying. “That’s why you people are getting beat up. I got nothing to lose.”
According to ABC7, this is the third time in recent weeks undercover officers have arrested hate crime suspects in New York.
The New York Police Department recently launched its undercover operation in an attempt to attack anti-Asian violence.
It happened at the Dutch Kills Train station in Astoria.
The station showed video of the suspect being taken away by officers.
