Actor Nathan Jung who appeared in movies and TV at a time when there were few Asian Americans is dead at the age of 74.
Variety reports his close friend and attorney Timothy Tau confirmed today that Jung died on April 24.
He is best remembered for his role as Genghis Khan on the original Star Trek TV series.
He also appeared on such shows as M*A*S*H*, Starsky & Hutch, CHiPs, General Hospital, Manimal, Riptide and Hunter.
His movies include Kentucky Fried Movie, Big Trouble in Little China, Black Rain, American Yakuza, Beverly Hills Ninja, Darkman, The Shadow and Longshot.
Deadline reports he is also one of few actors who appeared opposite of both Bruce Lee and his son, Brandon. Bruce Lee and Jung both appeared in Here Comes the Brides in 1969. Then in 1992, he joined Brandon Lee in both Rapid Fire and Showdown in Little Tokyo.
