Police in New York believe a man seen on video punching a 75-year-old Asian American woman in the face may be connected to a second unprovoked attack on a Hispanic woman.
Sources tell ABC7 the same man may have assaulted a second woman shortly after the first attack.
Video shows him sitting on the curb, then getting up to walk toward the first woman and punching her across the jaw.
The attack left her with a fractured bone near one of her eyes.
Authorities have not released the identity of the suspect, but did release a photo of him describing him as only in his 20’s.
Despite earlier reports, the suspect has not yet been arrested. The NYPD Hate Crime Task Force is investigating, according to a second report from ABC7.
