Never Have I Ever renewed for third season on Netflix

Just one month after kicking off season 2, Netflix officially announced the young adult hit Never Have I Ever will return for a third season, reports The Hollywood Reporter.

Based loosely on the childhood of Mindy Kaling, the show’s creator, viewers can expect more on the love triangle between Devi, Ben and Paxton.

“I love making it,” said showrunner Lang Fisher. “I do think [Devi’s] got very different relationships with these two guys and you could see her going in either direction,” Fisher said. “I do think the love triangle will be significant for the run of the show.”

The show features a very diverse cast of Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Devi, a first-generation Indian American teenager, Poorna Jagannathan as her mother, and Devi’s two best friends portrayed by Lee Rodriguez and Ramona Young. Jaren Lewison and Darren Barnet played the two hunks Ben and Barnet.

“We are so grateful to Netflix and Universal Television for letting us continue to tell this story, and to the fans around the world who clamored to see more of this badly behaved Indian teenager,” Kaling and Fisher said in a joint statement.

Barnet is looking forward to the coming episodes.

“It’s gonna be interesting seeing how he handles being in a relationship — or not. And how he handles doing things very much against the grain in terms of the social expectations, and what people have always expected of Paxton. He’s in very different shoes,” he told Variety.
