Five weeks into the season, the only undefeated team right now in the NFL is the Arizona Cardinals lead by quarterback Kyler Murray.
Murray’s mom is Korean American and his dad is African American. The former Oklahoma Sooner and Heisman Trophy winner is having the best year of his career.
Through 5 games, he has a quarterback rating of 113, the highest of his career in a league when anything above 100 is considered outstanding.
Murray has made it known that he’s inspired by Bruce Lee. Yesterday, during the game against the San Francisco 49ers, Murray sported a Bruce Lee thigh pad.
According to ESPN, the QB turned to a company called TredCal out of Kentucky to manufacture them.
Murray wears it on his left thigh while his right thigh is adorned with a thigh pad with his own logo.
Apparently Murray began wearing them during week 2 of the season.
“Everybody knows my inspiration from him,” Murray said about the martial artist and actor Bruce Lee.
After his first season, Murray won the Rookie of the Year award and celebrated by purchasing a $95,000 Bruce Lee chain adorned with 40 carats of diamonds and 7800 stones.
There’s no word on how long Murray plans to wear his thigh pads, but at 5-0 why would he want to change anything up?
