Filipino Australian singer Clinton Kane was robbed and held at gunpoint in the Marina district of San Francisco, ABC 7 reports.
Kane, a singer-songwriter and TikTok star, was eating lunch outside with two friends at Rooster & Rice, CBS San Francisco reports.
While they were eating, Kane and his friends heard glass shatter. They looked over and saw men trying to steal $30,000 worth of equipment. Kane says he and his friends confronted the robbers, who pulled guns on them.
The robbers told Kane and his friends to “get out of the way.” They eventually made off with the $30,000 worth of equipment.
The singer posted about the incident on Instagram.
“It was very weird, it was very scary having a gun held to my face,” I had so much adrenaline and confusions and shock and fear…I peed my pants. Not actually but in my head I was,” Kane told ABC 7.
Kane is set to return to San Francisco in December to perform. He says he plans not to bring anything valuable.
