Police in Memphis announced on Wednesday the arrest of a teenager in the murder of Robert Wong.
WREG reports authorities say 19-year-old Dallas Perkins killed Wong in his home on Thanksgiving in 2017.
According to ABC24, Perkins is already serving time for robbery and was just 15 at the time of the murder.
Wong had been home alone because he was feeling the ill effects of cancer treatment. His family had gone out to eat for Thanksgiving, the Commercial Appeal reported.
When they returned home, they found him shot dead. His Honda Odyssey mini-van was gone. The retired National Guardsman was 68 at the time of his death.
Police say he was killed in a home invasion robbery. WREG reports that new evidence and witness statements lead police to Perkins.
