Fans of Ariana Grande are coming to the defense of the star this week after she posted photos of herself with heavy eyeliner that some say was intended to make her look Asian.
The pop star identifies as Italian American, but has been accused in the past of trying to be Black and Hispanic.
Now she’s being accused of trying to be Asian.
The modeling industry has made it a “thing” to be racially ambiguous as a way to attract multi-cultural appeal.
That set off a fierce debate on social media, with Grande’s fans now coming to ward off the attacks.
But those offended are fighting back, saying you all just don’t get it.
How do you feel about all this? Will this take away from any enjoyment you might get from Grande’s music. Let us know.
