A Chinese restaurant where an attempted robber shot its lead waiter says it will donate its entire proceeds for the rest of the year to the victim’s family.
KTNV reports the managing partner at Shanghai Taste in Las Vegas described Chengyan Wang as both a hard worker and well respected.
“We’re going to keep going above and beyond. This is our family. We’re going to take care of him until the end,” Joe Muscaglione said.
Wang remains in critical condition after being shot multiple times.
The suspect, according to Fox5 News, has been identified as 23-year-old Rashawn Gaston-Anderson. Anyone who knows anything about his whereabouts is urged to call the Metropolitan Police at 702-828-2639, or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
A Go Fund Me page on behalf of Wang has been set up by the Asian Chamber of Commerce.
“Mr. Wang is a hard worker who provides for his family back home. As he is alone with no family here, we are asking for your kind support as he is undergoing medical attention,” the campaign organizers wrote.
As of Christmas morning, more than $14,000 has been raised.
