AirBnb announced Wednesday it kicked off conservative columnist Michelle Malkin from its platform for speaking at an event organized by a hate group.
The Daily Beast reported the Filipino American attended a meeting of the nationalist group American Renaissance in Nashville last November.
“Consistent with our policies, if we become aware of users who are members of or are actively affiliated with hate groups, we remove them from Airbnb,” the company said.
The ban also includes Malkin’s husband since she used his account to book the trip.
According to Raw News, the Southern Poverty Law Center identified American Renaissance as a hate group. The Anti-Defamation League described it as a White supremacist journal.
Malkin called the ban “the grim reality of life in Woke America 2022” in a rebuttal she wrote for Paradise. She said that her speech criticized both “Swamp Democrats and establishment Republicans for selling us out.”
“The speech delved into the K-20 metastasis of anti-white curriculum, the corporate media’s whitewashing of black-on-Asian attacks, and the long campaign to censor nationalist dissidents who put America first,” she wrote.
AirBnb says its booted one million users for violating its anti-hate policy. The company says its policy requires users to “treat everyone in the Airbnb community—regardless of their race, religion, national origin, ethnicity, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age—with respect, and without judgment or bias.”
