Have you turned red yet because it looks like a lot of people have?
Pixar’s Turning Red broke global records for minutes views in the first 72 hours of the animated hit’s debut on Disney+, reports ScreenRant.
Disney doesn’t normally release its streaming totals but made an exception for this with an announcement on Twitter.
The movie features Rosalie Chiang as MeiLin, a coming-of-age story about a middle schooler who turns into a red panda when she gets too excited.

The movie had originally been slated for the theaters, but the studio made the decision to premier for free to Disney+ subscribers as a way of gaining more subscriptions. The numbers for Disney+, 129 million subscribers, have been impressive but the rate of new sign-ups has slowed worrying investors.
This is Shi’s first full-length feature and the first by Pixar from a woman director. She told Looper she pitched three story ideas to Pixar, but the one executives chose was the story “the most personal, and, I think, the weirdest one.”
Turning Red also features the voices of Sandra Oh as the mother, James Hong as the father and Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as one of MeiLin’s best friends.
Other films to debut on Disney+ include Raya and the Last Dragon, the live-action Mulan, Black Widow, and Hamilton.
