Actress Eleanor Matsuura this week accused a Canadian postal worker in Toronto of screaming racial slurs at her.
“Hey @canadapostagram, I really didn’t like having a tirade of anti-Asian slurs thrown at me by one of your employees driving a Canada Post van tonight…” the Toronto Star reported The Walking Dead actress wrote on Instagram Stories.
The original post has since been replaced with messages of support.
According to Zomaloma, Canada Post is investigating the allegations and says it has apologized to Matsuura.
“We have just learned of the incident through social posting. The language and experience described in the message is offensive and disturbing,” said Canada Post spokesperson Phil Legault.
The actress’ post included a photo of the van but with the license plate blurred out.
“Luckily for you, I got all the details of his vehicle…which I’m happy to pass on to you.” the actress said in a comment directed at Canada Post.
Matsuura has played Yumiko Okumura on The Walking Dead for four seasons.
