Two armed men beat, robbed, and shot at a Chinese food delivery man in Crown Heights.
The suspects took his food delivery, cellphone, and $5 of cash, NY Post reported.
The 36-year-old victim was dropping off an order at a Lefferts Avenue apartment building at around 9:20 p.m. Saturday, according to the NY Daily News. The police said that two hooded men in surgical masks approached the victim at the building vestibule.
The cops said the two suspects punched the victim in the face before taking the items, NY post reports. The surveillance video shows the pair pressing the victim to the wall while they go through his pockets, taking his cellphone, $5 in cash, and the Chinese food order.
The victim chased the robbers, but stopped when one of the suspects open fire at the victim, according to NY Daily News.
The delivery worker was not struck and refused medical attention, NY Post reported.
The cops are still looking for the two suspects involved.
This incident happened just a week after Zhiwen Yan, Queens Chinese food delivery man, was fatally shot in Astoria to make a drop-off, the police said according to NY Daily News.
