YouTube influencer Oli London spent the weekend retweeting news coverage of his apology to BTS member Jimin even as the Army largely reacted negatively to his comments.
London, who identifies as transracial and who uses the pronouns they and them, is known for his 32 surgeries to change his appearance to resemble Jimin.
On August 28, he apologized publicly on YouTube for his actions saying “I was wrong to try to emulate Jimin in such an obsessive way. I now realize it wasn’t the right thing to do,”
Most of the BTS Arrny refused to accept the apology. “What is the point of the apology,” wrote Eena. “You have been harassing Jimin for years.”
“Your apology falls flat,” said another.
Also this weekend, London released a teaser trailer of his new video Cyber Bullies.
Do you think there’s a connection between his apology and his video?
