Sandra Oh’s appearance at Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral has gone viral.
According to BBC, Oh was appointed to the Order of Canada as an Officer in June this year. Although Canada is now independent, Queen Elizabeth II was still considered the nation’s head of state. She established the Order of Canada in 1967, making it the second highest honor for merit in the country.
Oh is best known for her roles as Christina Yang on “Grey’s Anatomy” and as Eve in “Killing Eve.” According to Deadline, Oh was given the Order of Canada for an “artistic career filled with memorable stage, television and film roles in Canada and abroad.”
The actress posted about attending the funeral on Instagram, saying she was proud to represent Canada.
Oh’s appearance at the Queen’s funeral has become a hot topic of discussion on Twitter.
Many were surprised by her presence.
