Suni Lee said in a recent interview that she has not decided whether she will try to compete for a spot at the 2024 Olympics in Paris.
PEOPLE recently interviewed Lee at the Annual Salute To Women In Sports Awards Gala, asking her if she planned to return to the Olympics in 2024.
“I don’t know. Yeah, I’m still making a decision,” Lee told PEOPLE. “I’m definitely starting to take it day by day, just trying to figure out what I want to do, and yeah, hopefully.”
During the summer of 2021, Lee became the first Hmong American to compete in the Olympics. Her all-around victory made her the first Asian American woman to win the Olympic gymnastics all-around.
Lee currently competes in collegiate gymnastics for Auburn University. According to KFGO, The Women’s Sports Foundation recently named Suni Lee Sportswoman of the Year.
