Some rumors apparently never die.
Almost 10 years after he first denied he had dated Kim Kardashian, Jeremy Lin is still addressing the issue.
He told the Basketball Network “Yeah, I’ve never met her before. There are plenty of things that came out… There are so many funny stories, and some that are really creepy. Everything that you can think of happened and everything that you can’t think of happened.”
He did say girls dropped off panties at his parent’s house and waited for him there. Some he says even hid in the bushes. Brands sent him free stuff in hopes he would sign a few autographs. They even offered him free BMWs.
According to the Gothamist, rumors of Kardashian trying to get a date with Lin first surfaced in 2012. The idea of the devout Christian dating the reality star sparked the imaginations of the tabloids and fans. Some suspect the rumor may have been encouraged by Kardashian’s publicity machine.
“Stuff about me dating Kim Kardashian, I mean, I have no idea where that came from and all these rumors…I don’t think I’m that type,” he told Good Morning America back in 2012.
Lin called all the extracurricular stuff going on around him “creepy.” It was the dark side of Linsanity fans didn’t get to see.
