The NFL announced Monday that Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa had received the most 2023 Pro Bowl Game fan votes, with 306,861 fan votes.
According to Bleacher Report, fan votes count for one-third of the total voting that determines the Pro Bowl rosters. Votes from players and votes from coaches are also their own third. Those votes are still being tallied.
Tagovailoa was a clear fan-favorite among the quarterbacks. According to Yahoo Sports, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes finished third overall behind Tagovailoa with 271,541 votes. Tagovailoa’s Miami teammate, wide receiver Tyreek Hill, had the second-most votes: 293,679.
In recent weeks, the Dolphins have suffered a few narrow losses. They currently have an 8-6 win-loss record and are in second place in the AFC East. The team is still in play-off contention but a win in their upcoming games would help put fans’ minds at ease.
