Vietnamese American basketball player Jaylin Williams registered his first G-League triple-double on Tuesday.
The Oklahoma City Thunder drafted Williams as the 34th overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft. Williams played a few minutes for the Thunder but now plays for their G-League affiliate team the OKC Blue.
On Tuesday, Williams earned 21 points, 14 rebounds, 12 assists and three steals during the team’s 112-108 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce, The Rookie Wire reports. The former Arkansas player has been praised for his offensive and defensive abilities.
After Williams’ stellar Tuesday night performance, Yahoo Sports reports that the Thunder has recalled the forward. The team is currently facing injuries with players like Aleksej Pokusevski, Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Ousmane Dieng.
