Olivia Rodrigo is officially the first Filipina American cover star for Vogue U.S., Inquirer.net reports. The cover story was also written by another Filipina American.
The 3-time Grammy Award winner has graced the cover of the August 2023 issue Writer and reporter Jia Tolentino spoke with Rodrigo about her life and career for the cover story.
The 20-year-old pop star is known for her debut album SOUR, which featured the chart-topping song “driver’s license.” Her sophomore album Guts will drop in September.
In an Instagram post, Rodrigo wrote that she was “so unbelievably honored” to feature on the cover.
“thank you @jiatortellini for such a thoughtful conversation and @theodegueltzl for the beautiful photos. incredibly appreciative of the entire Vogue team for their passion and kindness,” she wrote in her post.
