Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins sweep the Patriots

NFL quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins completed an in-season sweep against the New England Patriots on Sunday.

The Dolphins beat the Patriots 31-17 on Sunday afternoon at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. The team had previously beat the Pats 24-17 during their first meeting in September.

Tagovailoa completed 30 of his 45 attempted passes, throwing three touchdowns and just one interception. He threw a total of 345 yards, helping his team to a hard-earned 31-17 victory.

After the game, Tagovailoa reflected on the close games the Dolphins have played.

“It’s tough. It’s tough. If you look at a lot of the games, none of them were just runaway games,” Tagovailoa said according to NESN 360. “They were almost all to the end. To me, those are always tough games. You know if you turn the ball over the way I have, it makes it a tough game, and you keep those guys in that game and you can’t keep a team like that in a game like that. It’s tough, but we were able to overcome a lot of obstacles and challenges. Our defense, I think our defense did a tremendous job, as well, giving us many opportunities.”
