Netflix has released the official trailer for its upcoming space film Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire. The cast will feature South Korean actress Doona Bae.
According to a Netflix press release the film follows “Kora (Sofia Boutella), a stranger with a mysterious past,” who begins living with a settlement of peaceful farmers after crash landing on a moon called Veldt.
“But she soon becomes their only hope for survival when the tyrannical Regent Balisarius (Fra Fee) and his cruel emissary, Admiral Noble (Ed Skrein), discover the farmers have unwittingly sold their crops to the Bloodaxes (Cleopatra Coleman and Ray Fisher) — leaders of a fierce group of insurgents hunted by the Motherworld,” the official synopsis states.
Bae will play Nemesis, a cyborg swordmaster Kora recruits to help defend the people of Veldt.
The film is written, directed and produced by Zack Snyder known for his work in the on films in the DC Extended Universe like Justice League.
Rebel Moon – Part One: A Child of Fire will debut on Netflix on December 22, 2023.
