Jackie Chan is set to star in a new film in the Karate Kid franchise, Deadline reports. The movie will likely premiere in theaters on Dec. 13, 2024
Chan will return as Mr. Han, a former Kung Fu master who helps young Jayden Smith’s character in the 2010 Sony remake of the Karate Kid. He will star alongside Ralph Macchio who played Daniel LaRusso in the original three films.
According to Variety, the movie will be directed by Jonathan Entwistle, written by Rob Lieber and produced Karen Rosenfelt.
Plot details have not been revealed but Chan and Macchio have appeared in a video announcing a global casting search.
